At the DTC's 2008 Lobster Bake & Auction former selectwoman Barbara Thorne and former Finance Board member Kathy Hammell received well-deserved honors for their many years of service to our community.

Darien First Selectwoman Evonne Klein read a proclamation declaring June 8, 2008, "Barbara Thorne Day," and Martha Banks made a touching speech in honor of Kathy Hammell. Both Barbara and Kathy received certificates from Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. More than 180 guests shared in the fun.

Election 2007: Darien Democrats Make History!

First Selectman Evonne Klein joins David Bayne and Callie Sullivan in thanking their supporters after an historic victory in 2007. For the first time ever in Darien, Democratic candidates won a majority on the Board of Selectman. Evonne won 65 percent of the vote, and Callie Sullivan and David Bayne won by wide margins.
