Kevin P. O'Connor, Board of Assessment Appeals
Kevin joined the Board of Assessment Appeals in 2008, replacing a member who had resigned. In November 2009, he was elected to his first full term on the Board.
As director of trading analytics at Investment Technology Group (ITG) in New York, Kevin uses statistics to analyze worldwide equity, foreign exchange and derivatives markets. During his tenure, Kevin has brought to the Board his background in sophisticated data analysis. Working closely with the Assessor and other Board members, Kevin has helped the Board improve its process of reviewing real estate valuation and hearing property owners’ appeals, particularly during the busy 2008 revaluation period.
Prior to joining ITG, Kevin worked for InterSystems Corporation, AnswerThink Consulting, Deutsche Bank, GE Investment Management and GE Capital. He is a graduate of Colgate University with degrees in Computer Science and Economics.
A town resident since 2004, Kevin lives in Darien with his wife Hedi and their two young children. Kevin is an active member of Saint Luke’s Parish, serving as a Sunday school musician and on the Stewardship Committee.
